Scholarship Opportunities for Eligible High School Seniors
CJPRIDE is honored to offer two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1,500 to high school seniors from underrepresented groups, who plan to enroll in and attend a college or university in NJ, NY, CT, PA, DE, MD or a Minority Serving Institution Nationwide (HBCUS, HSIs, TCUs, AAPISI's)* and pursue education as a career. Additional consideration will be given to applicants who plan to become teachers in difficult to fill areas, including, but not limited to Special Education, Math, Science, Technology, English as a Second Language, Bilingual Education, and World Languages. Winners will be notified no later than May 3, 2024.
In order to be considered for a scholarship, the student must:

Submit a short essay on how their diverse background will influence your role as a future educator;

Write a summary, in no more than 500 words, on their inspiration to become an educator;

Submit a copy of their resume;

Submit a letter of recommendation from your school counselor, teacher, coach, or employer who can attest to your strengths;

Submit a school transcript issued by your high school’s guidance department.
The application deadline for submission is April 10, 2024.
